Main responsibilities and duties :

Reporting to Executive Purchasing VP, the Purchasing Data Service Manager guarantees the smooth running of all files processed by his team in order to satisfy internal customers by delivering on time and reliable Purchasing Data. (S)He also guarantees the reliability of the Global Information Systems for the Group.

 

  • Manages a team,
  • Manages KPIs and reports to Purchasing VP, reports expected results following the procedures set by the Group, compares these results to objectives and sets action plans if needed
  • Implements continuous improvement plans for purchasing
  • Participates in improving the functioning of the Purchasing Department by proposing ways to improve operating methods and procedures,
  • Acts as a support for his/ her team on important matters and takes position
  • Coordinates all the Purchasing Reporting activity of the Group, is the main point of contact for all reporting activities (creation of matrix, files maintenance…).
  • Collaborates with the Executive VP Purchasing and the Regional Purchasing Directors to define the reporting tools according to given guidelines and Group Practices.
  • Works on specific tasks given by the Executive VP Purchasing.

Requirements :

Qualifications et Experience

  • A Master Degree reinforced by a Purchasing experience and management experience in a similar or close role within the manufacturing sector..

Professional abilities

  • Ability to manage a team in order to achieve the targets and have a strategic vision of his work scope, discretion, confidentiality, discipline, sense of corporate responsibility are essential qualities,
  • Good listening skills, persuasive, relationship skills, interpersonal skills, analytical and concise, autonomous, good methodology and ability to transmit competencies and methodology.
  • Proficiency on Microsoft office and SAP,
  • Fluency in English, one or more foreign languages being a plus

Technical knowledge:

  • Must have good technical understanding, technical skills being a plus.
  • Must have a real economic approach to the job.
  • Expertise in purchasing technics and process
  • Good knowledge of current regulations.
  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of purchasing function and reporting.
  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge ISO TS regulation and Purchasing Process.
  • Must have a general knowledge of different aspects of a business (management, contract management, legal, manufacturing, etc…) in regards to supplier relations.
