With 47 locations worldwide, including 40 production sites, AKWEL is present in over 20 countries. In 2022, we have decided to welcome you in our factories and make you travel around the world. Episode 1: The beginning of an incredible adventure.

Our journey begins in Champfromier, France. A small village in the Jura mountains where the three COUTIER brothers decided to create a subcontracting and plastic parts manufacturing company: COUTIER SA was born in 1972. The beginning of a beautiful story…. Today Champfromier, the group’s headquarters, production site and center of excellence for the development of “engine” and “intake system” parts, continues to be the heart of AKWEL and has more than 360 employees all dedicated to the success of the company. With a turnover of 68M€, the Champfromier site mainly produces parts for Stellantis Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi and Ford Motor Company
